THE ZCP HOUSE or "The Asylum" as we call it is a whole character in its self. There's stuff written about it in the DIARY. Don't let it scare you. Basically, so far (and more keeps being unearthed about this place BUT) at one point it was an very active underground portal for other realities, where entities would use the structure built/manifested/created (or that just existing because everything just is honestly) in limbo, there, as a hideout or layover point when crossing between worlds. Since that structure was there it was a gateway house (more than one gateway). Some portals work that way, like how the STARGATE could take you to multiple places depending on the tuning, while some other portals are just for that one location but in any dimension or time, and not able to change points or places AND times and realities. Meanwhile in the "real world" (your world) it was JUST SOME OLD COLONIAL HOUSE where the family lived and stayed... and then died from sickness... and stayed. That house was rebuilt later as some other house where some murders took place, and those BODIES are buried deep in the graveyard that's now in the back yard too (beings are more than their body, so, yeah, the bodies are buried there... the beings, different story)... So, two families are here... floating around... kinda. Some time after that came the PROHIBITION STASH HOUSE SPEAKEASY where it was a stash spot for bootleggers around prohibition (maybe a little before), and that's where the tunnels were built and the speakeasy down there in the wine cellar came from.  We found that whole section by accident. Well, more like the house wanted us to find it and when the time was right and the house was cool enough with us it kinda pointed it out. Anyways, after that there was a fire and it was torn down and that's when THE ASYLUM FACILITY was built, like three times as big. Asylum, group home, or just like a  facility? Yeah, I guess a facility is more like it. What do you call a place where where just poor people and old people (and poor old people) ....and sometimes just homeless people or prisoners who "go missing"...  and "crazy" people are put? Along with some who aren't crazy but they'll get tortured and experimented on until they ARE crazy... and some other stuff..??? Whatever kind of facility you call that... that's what it was. (No it's not a public school or regular customer service job, no.) So then there was a revolt there and another fire and then it sat for a while and was whatever. Mr. Jeff said it was a SPACESHIP (place where druggies squat and/or just use to "blast off") and was just there till we came across it. Zeph and Byrdo were hiking around one day looking to invest in a home/studio for a project Byrdo was working on (DefTheory with his boy Nico "N-Dot") and because it was close enough but out of the way enough for any and everything he went scrounging around to see how to purchase it. Turns out the city had plans to build some projects or something so there was the run around and b.s. while they went on with their plan. It got torn down, projects got put up. Byrdo slapped together a studio on Pleasant St. While the projects were still under construction Zeph still loved the spot and showed it to Tyy... who told Slikk... who knew some guards on the other side and, well... we did a thing, crossed over, talked to some folks on the other side and they agreed to let us have the structure on "the other side" (limbo) and even free range permission and access to cross over to wherever, but just to kind of be "free agents" (if you will) and report any "disturbances in the force".  So we lucked out there. They warned us about all of the activity but... IT'S A REALLY REALLY CHARMING PLACE.

Again, far more in-depth discussion on the house and some inhabitants, and how all of that comes in to play in the DIARY, and even some in the COMICS. It's a pretty lively place and keeps you on your toes. We do have some rooms set up for ourselves personally, and there are some rooms set up mainly for recording, and even some of the recording rooms are geared towards each member of the band's own style. We take creative space seriously, and I guess the house does too. Don't get me wrong, some rooms (ROOM #9) do whatever they want and so we WON'T go in (ROOM #9)... Not that we CAN'T go in... Not that the room doesn't try to lure people into going in, but some places it's better to keep locked AND sealed (two different things) like Solomon's ring, and guarded and monitored as much as possible. Yeah, stay away from ROOM #9. We're cartoons from limbo and have seen multiple versions of your world destroyed and survived it... TRUST ME... STAY AWAY FROM ROOM #9. ROOM #9 is like the HOLODECK if it was SPLIT. Ever seen "The MIST" or "AS ABOVE SO BELOW"? Fuse that with "HOUSE" but "THIR13EN GHOSTS" in a "MAZE RUNNER" version of "LABRYNTH" (yes, even the singing) built by "SAW" using "The MATRIX". Depending on the time of day and year "THE SADNESS" or "COOLWORLD" or "WATERWORLD" or "THE BOOK OF ELI" might be in there fused with "JURASSIC WORLD" with some "TRON" spliced in. Once it even went to something like "THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST" which doesn't sound too bad at first... at first. ROOM #9 is our Busey Buttered Sausage, it does what it wants to do and goes wherever it wants to go. It is possible to go into ROOM #9 and once inside of it, you're in the hallway you just came out of to go into it facing the opposite direction like you just came out of it, and when you turn around you see the door to enter ROOM #9. The catch is that you're still in ROOM #9. Buttered Sausage. Moving on...  "The Card Room" is a favorite which is just a giant house/room of cards with the floor being a giant padded album cover of the band EVIL TWINS album "BARRY'S KIDS." "The Muck" is another cool jam spot that we found. It's one of those places where the vibe just is, and even though we usually say we're just going to clear our head or jam or work out an idea, it ends up being a recording session. There's a lot of good energy in those rooms. "The Muck" is one of the nooks in the underground labyrinth we found in the wine cellar in the basement. "The Staxx" is one room that was a storage office but it's just very very comfortable to write in. We end up recording in there too, but there's stuff (books, papers, boxes, etc.) stacked everywhere so it's kinda funny. The piles are pretty much sound dividing walls. But yeah, that room is more of a writing first inspirational energy, while the others are more of a jam first inspired energy.

Like I said, more keeps being unearthed about this place as it purges it's self and cleanses so that it's a clean portal point once again. The guards at the veil help in this, and since we're cool with them they have no issue with us staying in the home we have here and keeping an eye on it. When some darker things come through and it gets interesting, the guards are always willing to help us out with restoring the balance and peace, and even Jeff (Mr. Davids, the door man/our own personal GUZMIN / HEIMDALL) is pretty badass in his own right. But other than the guards and Mr. Davids, the rest of the folks who live here are pretty cool... the folks who are NOT in the band. Well, there was "Not Chatty Cathy" (our driver... or ex-driver... its in the DIARY). That was an interesting mess. ANYWAYS, like, Mr. Crooks is a cool guy for a dead but not guy who's there. Aemelia who was one of the children from the colonial family... she's not too bad to hang out with. She mostly stays in the graveyard and likes to read and be read to, but you can be out there for a long time and not know it so be careful. Sometimes ROOM #9 is... merciful... and cool people may be in there. There are some guest rooms too, buuuuut when you tell people you live in a ghost of a house in limbo (between realities) that's haunted by remnants of a colonial plague family, a murder house family, some lovelies from when it was an insane asylum that tortured people, and some pretty interesting folk from a prohibition speakeasy, with a graveyard in the back and some portals used by entities (again... "The MIST" or "AS ABOVE SO BELOW"?), not to mention it just sitting there abandoned in the crack era so who knows what... you don't get many guests... without motives... that won't anger the house prompting it to "not let them leave."
